It is kind of bulky and long, but for the price everything I expected. I bought it for a foreign language class online and they teacher never complained that she couldn't hear me or anything. So, I think it served its purpose very well and I have no real complaints except the size.
Well I can understand why it is cheap cause it barely works. Well I pretty much bought this mic because it is cheap. and i wanted to video chat. The only way to let the other person hear me is to hold it up to my mouth at least an inch away even then I have to speak louder than usual. But if you are looking for a cheap mic and u dont mind doing that then be my guest.
And since it's from Amazon (not an Amazon partner), and I have Amazon Prime shipping, I didn't have to pay extra for it to arrive in two days. I was searching for a basic inexpensive (non-USB) microphone for an audio project I'm doing on my PC. No complaints. I wasn't willing to spend the $20 to $40 for some other brands and I stumbled on this Labtec in stock from Amazon. I paid less than $10 for the Labtec Verse 534. For $10 it's awesome.NOTE: This is not a USB microphone. It uses a standard 3.5mm mini plug.
I have no mic experience with which to compare, but this mic is fine. sound that I can't describe. It's plug-and-play. One small thing is that I have to be careful with my 's.' I can't seem to avoid that implosive(). If this allowed audio, I could demonstrate. Anyway, it's good enough for my applications.
This microphone is good for the price paid. Has minor background noice but sound is fairly clear. Would purchase again.
